blossoms

Together with interior designer Gail Ressler, we created Blossoms, a temporary installation located in Newburgh, New York. It comprises five wooden stumps that have been carved out to look like lilacs, the official flower of New York State. The stumps were donated by Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn and most of them are part of a larger collection of trees downed during Hurricane Sandy.

The installation of Blossoms is part of a call for the Artists for Functional Objects exhibition, hosted by the non-profit organization Safe Harbors on the Hudson.
